Arlie Rountree, age 85, of Wickliffe, Ohio and formerly of Williamsburg departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at the Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on Dec. 1, 1931, in Williamsburg, to the late Lonnie Rountree and Annie (Moses) Rountree.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucy (Davenport) Rountree. Arlie was a member of the Masonic Order for over 50 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Ramona Meeks (Richard) of Wickliffe, Ohio and Reda Grace of Painesville, Ohio; son, Brian Rountree of Willowick, Ohio; three grandchildren, Richard Meeks, Paul Meeks and Cassie Grace; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Meeks and Christian Meeks; four sisters, Dessie Moses, Joann Moses, Shirline Byrd and Rusha Caddell, all of Williamsburg; two brothers, Glen Rountree of Williamsburg and Estil Rountree of Florida; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at Croley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Moses officiating. Following the Service he will be laid to rest the Moses Addition of Pleasant View Cemetery.
