Clyde F. Sharp, age 77, of Corbin, departed this life on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at his home in Corbin.
He was the son of the late Rev. Alonzo Thomas and Nola Jane (Barton) Sharp. Clyde was born Dec. 12, 1940, in Corbin.
Clyde was of the Baptist faith and a retired Bus Driver from the Whitley County Board of Education, and was a retired veteran of the United States Army.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Brigitta Sharp and one son Clyde Wayne Sharp.
Clyde is survived by two children: Thomas Sharp and wife Sarah, of Corbin, and Irene Hatchet and husband Mike, of Richmond, Virginia. Two brothers: Leland Sharp and wife Gloria and Raymond Sharp all of Corbin. Five sisters: Jean Carpenter, of Liberty, Lovina Schrader and husband Andrew of Clarksville, Tennessee, Phyllis McCoy, Francis Adkins and Carolyn Reeder all of Corbin. Four grandchildren: Anastasia "Staci" Sharp, Brianna Cole and husband Noah, Michael Hatchet and Erin Hatchet. Three Great Grandchildren Jayden Sharp, Jace Sharp, and Carter Adams.
Clyde also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the O'Neil - Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery with Nephews serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, from 6-9 p.m. at the O'Neil - Lawson Funeral Home.
