Coeburn Lewis, age 67, of Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, departed this life on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at his home.
He was born on December 17, 1950, in Ages, Kentucky, to the late Hayes Lewis and Vicie (Curry) Lewis.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Lewis; sister, Myrtle Lewis; and brothers, Ralph Lewis, Charles Lewis and Dewey Lewis.
Coeburn was a 1969 graduate of Whitley County High School. He enjoyed hunting and fishing; he loved cooking and canning and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lewis of Corbin; three children, Michael Travis Lewis of Corbin, Amy Salmons and husband Ted of Corbin and Adam Lewis (Maranda Noe) of Winchester; two grandchildren, Landon Walker and Lane Walker; two sisters, Betty Cunningham of West Chester, Ohio, and Jay Lewis of Corbin; brother, Shelby Lewis of Dayton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation was after 6 p.m. May 15 at Croley Funeral Home.
The funeral service was 1 p.m. May 16 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Sutton officiating. Following the service, he was laid to rest in the Youngs Creek Cemetery.
