Delvor's Story

Mr. Delvor Hensley of Corbin, Kentucky, formerly of Leslie County, was born May 4, 1933, the son of the late J.H. Hensley and the late Ollie Howard Hensley departed this life on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at his residence in Corbin.
He was 84 years old. Delvor had been a resident of Corbin for the past 30 years coming from Leslie County.
Delvor was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the East Side Church of God in Corbin. He enjoyed cars, auto mechanics and ATV riding, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Delvor was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Seldon Hensley and Vellis Hensley; and sisters, Edith Davenport and Easter Hensley.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Easter Sizemore Hensley, whom he was united in marriage to on March 13, 1952; two beloved sons, Clellan Hensley and wife, Melissa Faye and their daughter, Robin Karena Hensley; Jeffrey Hensley and wife, Kay and their daughters, Gloria Blake Hensley and Ollie Beatrice Hensley; sisters, Marie Asher of Hyden, Kentucky, and Mae Woods of Hyden and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.

A funeral will be at noon Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home in Hyden with John Newell and Keith Bowling officiating.
Interment will be at Hensley Family Cemetery, Hillard Road, Corbin.
Pallbearers are J.L. Woods, Brandon Hensley, Mason Hensley, Delaney Hoskins, Mike Morgan and Jarrod Lewis.
Honorary pallbearers are Earl Fields and Mickey Howard.
Visitation was at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home Chapel.
