Dennis "Harold" Ramsey, age 91, of Corbin, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017.
He was born July 23, 1926, in Mars Hill, North Carolina, to the late Robert and Minnie (Duck) Ramsey.
Harold was a former truck driver and was also a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Greenland Baptist Church in Corbin.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy "Dot" Ramsey, one brother Arnold Ramsey, and two sisters: Jessie Robinson and Lessie Crowder.
Harold is survived by, one daughter Denise Ford and husband Larry, and one son Steve Ramsey and wife Trish all of Corbin; one grandson, Brian Ford and wife Carol of Monticello; one granddaughter, Cassie Ramsey; one great-grandson, Maverick Ford; a special nephew Jeff Partin; and one sister-in-law Martha Ratliff.
Harold also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
The family wishes to extend a special and heartfelt "thank you" to Melinda Moses and Members of Greenland Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at the O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Hodge, Rev. Scott Williams and the Rev. Luke day officiating. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery in Corbin, with nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Teddy Jaynes and Donald Bolton.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017at the O'Neil -Lawson Funeral Home.
