Ethel Isaacs, age 79, of Majak Drive, Corbin, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at her home. She was born on March 23, 1937, in Williamsburg, to the late Ernest Akins and Jincy (Bennett) Akins.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, R.L. Akins, Ed Akins and his wife Joy, Ronald Akins and Terry Akins; sisters, Bernice Akins, Edith Watkins and her husband Sam, Shirley Knight, Anna Mahan and husband Dennis and Emma Sue Gillis.
She is survived by her husband Welmon Isaacs, of Corbin; brother, Irvin Akins and wife Retha, of Corbin; sister, Betty Taulbee and husband Delmer, of Corbin; sisters-in-law, Barbara Ann Akins, of Franklin, Ohio, Barbara Akins, of Corbin, Bernice Wiseman, of Mt. Healthy, Ohio, and Judith Ann Adams, of Richmond; brothers-in-law, Roy Gillis, of Springboro, Ohio, Leon Isaacs, of Ohio, Bobby Isaacs, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kenny Harris, of Richmond; several nieces and nephews; and host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Croley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Hodge and Mr. David Moreland officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Akins Family Cemetery.
