Frank Collett, 93 ,of Corbin, formerly of Leslie County, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 at Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was the son of the late Fred Collett and Lucy (Roark) Collett, born to them on May 5, 1923, in Leslie County. He was a retired coal miner and veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith (Sizemore) Collett; two daughters, Wilma Kilbourne and Glenda Gail Arnold; five sisters, Betty Howard, Thelma Morgan, Emily Hacker, Sally Morgan, Helen Collett, and two brothers, Virgil Collett, and Homer Collett.
He is survived by six children, Zenas Collett and wife Phyllis of Liberty, IN., Jerry Collett and wife Dawn of Rockville, IN., Eugene Collett and wife Sue of Hamilton, OH., Freda Bunch Ward and husband A.C., Grant Collett and wife Brenda, and a son-in-Law, Paul Kilbourne, all of Corbin, Beulah Mobley and husband Pat, of London; 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of other great-great-grandchildren, relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Vernon Morris and the Rev. Dwayne Arthur officiating. Burial will following in the Collett Family Cemetery at Keavy with Zenas Collett Jr., Josh Collett, Jeremy Collett, Dustin Collett, Dylan Collett, Nicklas Hume, Wade Arnold and Breuton Arnold serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
