Janice "Jan" Witt Irvin, 52, of Corbin, formerly of Evarts, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born Nov. 3, 1964, in Harlan County, she was a beautician and believed in the Church of God faith.
Jan is preceded in death by her father, J.C. Witt; two infant daughters, Lakeisha Tennile Irvin and Jasmine Camille Irvin; and a nephew, Eric Witt.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Irvin, Corbin; a son Billy "B.J." Irvin, Jr., Corbin; her mother, Wilma Geneva Shuler Witt, Corbin; a sister, Jennifer Garlic and husband, Dennis, Corbin; a brother, Jeff Witt and wife, Mary, Rogersville, TN; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Evarts Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with the Reverend Brent Carroll and the Reverend Sonny Osborne officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with her family and friends serving as pallbearers.
