JoAnn Mobley, age 88, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, at Baptist Health Corbin. She was the daughter of the late James B. and Jessie (Grindstead) Cadle. Born to them on Oct. 14, 1929, in Corbin.
Besides her parents JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Maxwell Mobley and her brother Rodney Cadle.
JoAnn was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Corbin.
She is survived by two sons: Jim Mobley and wife Linda of Lexington, and Ken Mobley and wife Tammy of Corbin. One sister: Betty Cadle of Burlington. Six granddaughters: Brittany Kanavy and husband Jim of Georgetown, Crystal Mobley, Wendy Mobley, Rachael Cima and husband Marcus, Tosha Canada and husband KC, all of Corbin, and Schann Mobley of New York, New York. Several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be from noon. until the hour of service at 2 p.m Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at The O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home, in Corbin, with the Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
