Kenneth J. Carr, 71, of Williamsburg, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 at Baptist Health Lexington in Lexington.
He was born Oct. 25, 1945 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Wolford Carr and the late Dorcas Beams Carr. He was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church, where he was song leader and a trustee.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Carr.
He is survived by 2 sons, Kenny O. Carr (Rhonda) of Williamsburg and Russell Carr (Jeana) of Corbin; 4 grandchildren, Maranda Carr, Makenzie Carr, Haley Carr, Macie Carr; 1 brother, Garlin Carr, of Clearfield, Utah; 3 sisters, Joann Rose and Ruth Moses, both of Williamsburg, and Phyllis Hassink (Kenny), of Cleveland, Ohio; special niece, Rebecca Laudermilk, niece, Lyndee Jackson, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lester Cox, the Rev. Tony Lawson, and the Rev. Ronnie Mullins officiating. Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Oaklawn Cemetery at Pleasant View.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at the funeral home.
