Lowell's Story

Mr. Lowell Lee Sears, age 73, of Gray, Kentucky, was born in Knox County, Kentucky, on February 20, 1944, to the late Glen Sears and Ruby Adams Sears, and departed this life on November 13, 2017, at his home.
He attended Keck Baptist Church and enjoyed golf, working with his cattle, farming and time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Glen and Ruby Sears; a grandson, Justin Sears; two sisters, Jean Manning and Geraldine Sears; and two brothers, Roy Sears and Bill Sears preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving son, John Sears and wife Michelle of Gray; four brothers, Jack Sears and wife Faye, Keith Sears and wife Patricia, Jerry Sears and wife Vivian, and John Sears and wife Brenda all of Gray; five sisters, Doris Wunch, Bobbie Bolton and husband Tim, and Connie Smith all of Gray, Sue Patterson of Rockwood, Tennessee, and Kay Philpott and husband Bobby of Corbin; a grandson, Tyler Sears; a great-grandson, Jayce Sears; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Lowell Sears will be conducted in the Keck Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Keck Baptist Church Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to the funeral hour at 2.
