Marilyn "Sue" Elliott, 58, of Woodbine, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017, in Lexington, at UK Medical Center.
Sue was born in Chicago, Illinois to Jack and Wilma Veach. She worked at Jellico Sewing Factory, Veach's Market in Jellico, and the Bait Shop in Woodbine.
She was preceded in death by her father Jack Veach and her mother Wilma Jean Cureton Veach.
Sue is survived by her husband Jack Elliott Jr., of Woodbine; son James Dustin Garner, of Michigan; daughter Holly Jean Elliott, of Kentucky; her siblings Norma Perkins, of Tennessee, Jack Veach, of Kentucky, Ronald Veach, of Tennessee, and Cheryl Veach, of Kentucky; her uncle Dave Wells, of Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Siler and the Rev. Lowell Huddleston officiating. Burial will be in the Jack Elliott Cemetery at Woodbine.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 17, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
