Mattie's Story

Mattie Jones Fraley, age 72, of Lot Mud Creek Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at the home of her granddaughter.
She was born on Feb. 14, 1944, in Williamsburg, to the late Ben Jones and Martha (Lawson) Jones.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Fraley; two sons, Adam Siler and Dale Robertson; three sisters, Geneva Jones, Lena Silvers and Ruby Jean Hatfield; daughters-in-law, Carolyn Siler and Cheryl Siler and special nephew, Danny Jones. Mattie was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Victor Siler of Williamsburg, Rodney Siler of Corbin, Murna Higginbotham of Williamsburg and Melissa Taylor and husband Ralph of Hollow Rock, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren, Joshua Siler, Joseph Siler, Connor Siler, Jessica Scales (Mike), Julie Wilson, Rachel Ward, Ben Higginbotham (Summer) Rebecca Higginbotham, Riley Higginbotham, Andrew Higginbotham, Daniel Taylor (Jodi), Ryan Taylor, Staci Taylor, Tiffany Magee (Keith), Leah Taylor and Trent Taylor; 20 great-grandchildren, Abagail, Madison, Mackenzie, Adalee, Zeplynn, Tristin, Danielle, Halie, Jessie, Cole, Joseph, Bentley, Rylan, Keanon, Kyle, Madison, Lilly, Mason, Evelyn and Selah; three sisters, Arizona Thompson of Wyandotte, Michigan, Lola Jones of Williamsburg and Leona Fredericks of Williamsburg; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at Croley Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Hale and the Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Ben and Martha Jones Family Cemetery on Lot Mud Creek Road.
