Michael Wayne Ford, age 70, of Corbin, departed this life on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at his home.
Born Feb. 8, 1948, in Lily, he was the son of the late Ellice and Beatrice (Bays) Ford.
Michael was a retired machinist for National Standard, of the Baptist Faith, a member of Rockholds First Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Army.
Besides his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his wife Marlee Ford.
Michael is survived by one daughter: Pon McHargue and husband Clifford of Corbin, four sisters: Carolyn Epperson and husband Willie, Brenda Dyer, Linda Garrett and husband Rodney all of Corbin and Gail Gray and husband Dallas of London. One brother: Larry Ford and wife Denise of Corbin. Two grandchildren: Michelle Burgan and husband Joe of Louisville, and Brooke Krutsinger and husband Justin of Corbin, and five great-grandchildren: Emma, Isaac, Lilli, Benjamin and Anna Grace.
Michael is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, at the O'Neil - Lawson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the McFarland Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, also at the O'Neil - Lawson Funeral Home.
