Mona's Story

Mona Faye Mills, age 81, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Brookdale Richmond Place. Born July 14, 1936, in Christopher, Kentucky, to the late Oscar and Eva Spencer Eversole, she was a homemaker, former member of the American Legion, volunteered at the Baptist Regional Medical Center
in Corbin and affiliated with the St. Luke United Methodist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Mills and a
son, Byron Keith Mills.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Mills, Lexington; a son, Michael (Beth) Mills, Sr., Cold Spring, Kentucky; two brothers, Roy Eversole and Loy (Mary) Eversole; two grandchildren, Michael Mills, Jr. and Nathan Mills and a special friend whom was like a daughter, Karen Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted noon Saturday at Milward ­ Man O' War (1509 Trent Blvd.) with visitation at 10 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. in Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin. Memorial
