Ronnie Cornett, age 68, of Keavy, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital, in London. He was the son of the late Willie & Vivian (Harris) Cornett, born to them on Nov. 10, 1948, in Harlan County.
Besides his parents Ronnie was preceded in death by one child Bill Monroe Cornet.
Ronnie was a former coal miner and was of the Penacoastal faith.
He is survived by his wife Linda Cornett, of Keavy, one daughter, Angela Faulkner and husband Andy of Williamsburg, two sons Anthony Cornett and wife Stephanie of Corbin, and Randy Cornett of Keavy. Brothers and sisters: Junior Cornett of Keavy, Wayne Cornett and wife Madelon of Keavy, Wilma Johnson and husband Daniel of Oklahoma, Kenneth Cornett of Corbin, Wallene Carr and husband Jerry of Keavy, Betty Tallant of Corbin, Bernice Ganka and husband Brad of Georgia, Donna Lawson of Corbin, Michael Cornett of Keavy, and Terry Cornett of Keavy. Six grandchildren Whitney Bennett, Chelsea Cornett, Tori Cornett, Anthony Dewayne Cornett, Andrew Faulkner, and Josh Allen. Four great-grandchildren Rylee Padilla, Kloee Padilla, Logan Monroe and Emma Monroe. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 at O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Miller officiating, burial will follow in The Cornett Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
