Ruby Aileene Rucker Israel, age 96, of Corbin, passed away on Friday Feb. 2, 2018, at the Christian Health Care Center in Corbin.
She was born in Harlan County, and was a retired from General Motors. Ruby loved gardening and growing her beautiful flowers. She was a member of Keck Baptist Church in Gray.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Elmer Israel; infant Son, Kenneth Elmer Israel; Parents, Jake Rucker and Lizzie Rawlings Rucker; Brothers, Grover and Oleith Rucker; and Sisters, Minnie Peace, Carrie Johnson, and Jean Burnette.
She is survived by her brother, Willard Rucker and wife Linda; sister, Georgia Rucker; special sister-in-law, Frances Israel; and by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 11, 2018 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Siler officiating. Burial will follow in the Clouse Cemetery in Knox County. Pall bearers will be Timmy Burnette, Ralph Cole, Adam Fowler, Charles Rucker, Timmy Rucker, James Smith, Larry Walters, and David Burnette
