Ruth Arlene Bryant, age 89, of Falin Lane, Williamsburg, departed this life on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at Baptist Health in Corbin. She was born on Feb. 8, 1928, in Whitley County, to the late Clint Smith and Elva Harris Smith.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Atrel Cole and a brother, Clinton Smith and his wife Jan.
Ruth attended Shiner Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Gail Croley of Williamsburg; grandchildren, Chris Croley and wife Cindy of Clarksville, Tennessee and Tricia Croley of Williamsburg; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Daniel, Emily and Tanner; two great-great grandchildren, Kamon and Keleigh; a sister, Madge Fisher (Elwood) of Harrisonburg, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Croley Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at the Davis Addition of Highland Park Cemetery with Mr. Gary Barton officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Davis Addition of Highland Park Cemetery.
