Wilma Mae Smith, age 73, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at her home. She was born in Middlesboro to the late Hayes and Grace (Smith) Sowders.
Wilma was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith, and was a Eastern Star and Amaranth.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by five sisters, one brother and one infant brother.
Survivors include her husband OL Smith of Corbin; six children David Griffith and wife Dema of Corbin, Tony Griffith and wife Mie of Radcliff, Eva Sizemore and husband Sam of Keavy, Jeff Griffith and wife Brenda of Corbin, Orla Lee Smith Jr. and wife Barb of Blackwater, and Robert Smith and wife Lisa of Keavy; two sisters Patricia Russell and Linda Jent and husband Oscar all of Cincinnati, Ohio; plus several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at the O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Delmon Sizemore and Bro. Travis Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Family Cemetery in Corbin with Orla Lee Smith III, Robert Harold Smith, Eulas Helton, James Johnson, Richard Cox, Michael Hatton and Jake Johnson serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at the O'Neil -Lawson Funeral Home.
