Carl E. Jackson
Jackson, Carl Age 86 of Andover, Minnesota passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on August 29th, 2017. Born January 28th, 1931. Carl was born in Barbourville, Kentucky and survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty (Martin) Jackson, Daughter Sandi (Steve) Clements, son Randy (LaVerne) Jackson, Granddaughter Lauren (Nick) Welander, Grandson Daniel Jackson. Also survived by Brothers Paul and Ray, nieces and nephews, extended family, as well as many very dear friends. Proceeded in death by parents Scott and Mossie Jackson, Sisters Nettie, Sue and Fannie and brothers William and Gerald.
Carl served in the United States Airforce from 1951-1955, as well as the Airforce reserves. Carl had a long successful career with United States Steel Corporation and retired as Capitan of security and emergency services.
Carl and Betty moved to Minnesota in 1996 to be close to their children and grandchildren. They spent many years enjoying their lake place in both Brainerd and Emily Minnesota, as well as winters in Mesa, Arizona where they established many long lasting friendships.
Carl will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A service of worship and remembrance is planned at Meadow Creek church, Andover, Minnesota on Thursday, September 7, 2017 with 1-3 PM visitation, 3 PM service.
