Conny R. Jump, 78, of Corbin, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 16, 2016, at his home.
Born in Corbin, he was a son of the late George and Rhoda Taylor Jump. Brothers Wendell and Don Jump also preceded him in death.
Conny served in the U.S. Air Force before becoming a locomotive engineer with the Pennsylvania Railroad. He returned to Corbin later and worked for the L&N/CSX Railroad until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Taylor Jump; sons Ron Jump and wife Anita, of Fort Thomas, and Sean Jump and wife Bethany, of Corbin; a grandson David Jump and fiancée Sarah Francis, of Prestonsburg; a sister Wanda Jones and husband Jack, of Corbin; brother Wayne Jump and wife Joann, of Wapakoneta, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Conny's visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rest Haven Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 88 honor guard.
