Jeanette Gregory Blankenship Martin, 81, the wife of Homer Martin of London, passed away Saturday evening, Dec. 10, 2016, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nora Hampton Gregory; and 15 siblings of which she was the baby girl.
She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Soul's Harbor Church of London.
She was the mother of Terry Wayne Blankenship and wife, Vanessa, of East Bernstadt, Bobbie Blankenship Smith and husband, Walt and Billie Blankenship Lancaster and husband, Everett Emory, all of Corbin, and Kimberly Blankenship Vaughn of Alderson, West Virginia. She was the stepmother of Kevin Martin and wife, Kathy of Thomasville, Georgia, Karen Salmons of Elizabethtown, Bob Martin and wife, Sandy, Tom Martin and wife, Hazel, all of Richmond, Danny Martin and wife, Yvette of Cox's Creek, and David Martin of Corbin; seven grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 15 step great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanette Gregory Blankenship Martin will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 14, in the Laurel Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Ronnie Ball and the Rev. Gary Parker officiating.
Burial will follow in the McDaniel Cemetery in Laurel County.
The family receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening and will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Tom Martin, Bob Martin, Danny Martin, Jordan Vaughn, Terry Blankenship, E.C. Lancaster and Robert Prevatte.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
