Jennifer Kay Adkins, age 58, of Corbin, formerly of Somerset, departed this life on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at her residence.
She was born on Jan. 14, 1959, in Somerset, to the late Roy and Shirley Adkins Ridner. She loved to read and sign language.
Jennifer is survived by two brothers, Michael Adkins and Steve Ridner, both of Somerset; a sister, Kimberly (and Layvon) Rogers of Corbin; an aunt, Marilyn Bullock of Somerset; an uncle, Tim (and Leisa) VanHook of Somerset; special friends, Linda Dillman of Somerset, and Carol Strunk of Richmond; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, David Adkins.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Corbin. There will also be a visitation on Friday, April 7, 2017 from noon until 2 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Minton Cemetery in Ferguson.
