Tessia Elane "Waddell" Hopkins, of Rockholds, passed away Sept. 6, 2016 at her home.
She was born Nov. 5, 1975 in Middlesboro. She was 40 years and 10 months of age.
Tessia was preceded in death by her papaws, James Wilburn Wade and Rosco Waddell.
During her lifetime she acquired many precious friends, acquaintances, especially people with Christian Appalachian project Healing Rain, the girls at Teen Challenge in Knoxville, Tennessee, and all those with Life Changers of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, who made a great impact on her life. We have found she also made a difference in many of their lives as well.
She is survived by her mother and stepdad, Vickie Hill and Raymond, and her dad, Denny Waddell, all of Rockholds; two children, Tyler Monhollen and fiance, Kayla Monhollen, of Rockholds, and Tristen Ball and fiancee Shawn Green, of Corbin; one brother, Darrin Waddell and wife, Becky; two mamaws, Ima Jo Wade, and Otilla Waddell, and a special great aunt, Elva Harrod, all of Rockholds; a special sister-in-law, Amy Waddell, of Lawrenceburg; special nephews whom she had her own names for, Travis "Spanky" Waddell, Christian "Butt Munch" Waddell, Dalton "Donk" Helton and Camden "Little Honey Bun" Waddell, and one niece, Savannah Helton; as well as other aunts, uncles and cousins, and relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016 at Flat Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Bart Smith and Bro. Rodney Davis officiating. Tessia's earthly body will be laid to rest in the Marlow Cemetery with Darrin Waddell, Travis Waddell, Christian Waddell, Tyler Monhollen, Randy Cannon, Todd Wade, Danny Waddell and Devon Helton serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016 at Flat Creek Baptist Church.
