Dorothy Baker Taylor Hensley, age 91, of Corbin passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at the Laurel Heights Nursing Home for the Elderly in London.
She leaves behind five children, Carol Riggs of Keavy, Charles Albert Taylor and wife Karen of London, Barbara Byrley and husband Johnny of Corbin, Linda S. Jones and husband Tommy of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Phyllis Gregory and husband Roger of Corbin; five sisters, Myrtle Singleton, Betty Marcum, Lois Baker, Nellie Swanner, Helen Smith all of London; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren, plus a host of family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Finley Taylor; her parents, George and Florence Brown Baker; five children, Darlene Roaden, Roy Allen Taylor, Betty June Morgan, Wanda Jean Taylor and George Russel Taylor; four brothers, James Baker, Gene Baker, Harold Baker and Jackie Ray Baker.
She worked for the Laurel County School Systems for 10 plus years, retired from Micro Devices and was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Corbin.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Charles A. Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove cemetery in Keavy. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 until 6 p.m. also at the funeral home.
The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
