Born on April 6, 1965, in Warsaw, Indiana, Douglas spent a lifetime bringing joy, laughter, and kindness to those around him. Known for his quick wit and a heart as expansive as the night sky he loved to observe, Douglas led a life marked by service to others, both in his career and personal life.

Retirement didn't slow Douglas down, but allowed him to spend more time pursuing his passions, such as stargazing, pulling pranks, and actively participating in animal rescue efforts. His fondness for astronomy was not just about looking up, but also about pondering and appreciating the vastness of the world and our place in it.
Douglas is survived by his devoted husband, of over 30 years Rick Williams of Corbin, KY, and his sisters, Deborah and Dalane both of Warsaw, Indiana.
He also leaves behind his cherished fury friends, Benson, Ella, and Prudence. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Hazel Hufziger.
