Ethel (Surgener) Saylor, 89, of London, formerly of Wallins, went to be with Jesus, Jan. 17, 2018, in Palmetto, Florida.
She was the mother of nine children. Ethel was born to Leonard and Lizzie Wilder of Foresters Creek on May 9, 1928.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Steve Surgener, and two sons, Frank Ward and Charles Ward.
She is survived by daughters, Ruby Jewell Ward Tackett, of Sun City Center, Florida, Brenda Ward (Ben) Wheeler, of Charleston, South Carolina, and Barb Ward (LD) Trammell, of Florence; sons, Ron (Beverly) Ward, of Corbin, Tom (Maria) Rose, of Knoxville, Tennessee, Steve (Rhonda) Surgener, of Somerset, and Dan (Bridget) Surgener, of London; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Bowling Funeral Home, London, as follows: visitation Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. and funeral Wednesday at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Johnny Day officiating. Burial immediately following at Rest Haven Cemetery, Corbin.
