Sharpsville, IN. - Freda Ann Branstutter of rural Sharpsville, IN, age 83, passed from earth to Glory at her home Monday December 29, 2025, at 3:30 am. She began her earthy journey at Sumpter, KY, August 4, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Luther and Tennessee (Meadors) Thomas. On September 24, 1966, she married the love of her life, Larry Branstutter at Center Street Church of God in Corbin, KY. They were blessed with 59 years of marriage.
Freda was Pentecostal and a member of Bethel Tabernacle where she was blessed to have her son as her Pastor. She was saved at the young age of 9 years old and faithfully served the Lord throughout her life being a woman of a meek and quiet spirit. During their younger years Freda and Larry sang in church with "I Don't Regret a Mile" being their signature song. For many years during the Christmas season they sang "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem."
Freda was a graduate of Woodbine High School with the class of 1960. She then attended Skinner's Commercial School in Corbin. Before her marriage Freda worked for Bondurants.
After getting married she was a dedicated homemaker and took an active role in bringing up her three sons in the fear and admonition of the Lord. They rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies: Proverbs 31.
Along with her husband, left to cherish Freda's memory are her three sons and their wives, Rev. Jeffery Branstutter and his wife, Cheryl, Springfield, OH, Dr. Joseph Branstutter and his wife, Chara, Cincinnati, OH, and Pastor Stephen Branstutter and his wife, Ashley, Kokomo, IN.
She is also survived by five precious grandchildren, Madison LeeAnne Branstutter, Boston Riley, Thomas Branstutter, Mark Issac Branstutter, Abby Sue Branstutter, and Billy Joe Branstutter.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, her infant daughter Susan, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gerald Thomas, and Talmadge Thomas and his wife Virginia.
The family wishes to thank Paradigm Heath for their dedication in caring for Freda through both Palliative and Hospice Care.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday January 4, 2026, at Bethel Tabernacle, 661 400 S, Kokomo, with Pastor Stephen Branstutter and Pastor Emeritus David Cornelius officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2 pm, at the church. Burial will be in the family plot of Nevada Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Tabernacle. Services are provided by Stout & Son Funeral Home in Russiaville. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com.
