James Lacefield Obituary

James Rogers Lacefield was born December 21, 1941 in Grove City, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Bernard and Nellie Gertrude Hudgins Lacefield.

He was united in marriage to Paula Porter Lacefield who survives.

He is also survived by his three children, John S. Lacefield and wife Julie of Jacksonville, Florida, James A. Lacefield and wife Tammy of Corbin, Kentucky, and Kathy Luxemburger and husband John of Louisville, Kentucky; one sister Vicki Culver of Ghent, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Dylan, Colby, Rex, and Kenzie Lacefield, and Kelsey Radcliff; two great-grandchildren, James and Owen Radcliff; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was the retired Transportation Director for Averitt Express and was a member of the Marco Lutheran Church.

James Rogers Lacefield departed this life Sunday, September 13, 2020 being 78 years, 8 months, and 23 days of age.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sat. Sept. 19th at the Ghent Cemetery, Ghent, KY.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Association.
