Jervis "Mutt" Payne, age 75 of Corbin, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Baptist Health Corbin.

Mutt was born June 8, 1946 in Wise, Virginia to the late Corbin and Eva Robbins Payne. He was a retired supervisor at Pepsi-Cola company and a member of Seventeenth St. Christian Church, in Corbin, Kentucky.

Although "Mutt's" death filled his family with great sorrow, they would like to gather to share great memories and remember all the ways "Mutt" could find humor in almost everything and how he made a positive impact on the world.

He is survived by; four children J.D. Payne (Sarah), Jason Payne (Sarah), Amber Fields (David) and Amanda Payne, two sisters; Yulava Coffee and Lucy Collingsworth, one brother; John Payne, six grandchildren; Hannah Payne, Rachael Payne, Joel Payne, Cruz Payne, Hannah Fields and Deuce Johnson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and best friend Fonda Brown to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 12th, 2022 at O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Claude Medlin officiating. Burial will follow at Gray cemetery in Gray, Kentucky.

Visitation will be Monday, April 11th, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home.
