Joseph Popejoy Obituary
Joseph Popejoy, age 85 of Corbin, passed away on Monday, March 27, at Baptist Health Corbin.
He leaves behind seven children, Dorothy Popejoy, Joseph Popejoy, James Popejoy, Andrea Popejoy, Kevin Popejoy, all of Philadelphia, Pennslyvania, Patricia Popejoy-Smith and husband David A., of Corbin, and Anthony Joseph Popejoy, of London; one sister, Dorothy Stewart, of Keavy; grandchildren, Kassandra Popejoy and Jerad Smith, plus a host of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Zelma McKnight Popejoy and two siblings, Naonia and James Wickliff.
He was a retired tradesman and of the Catholic faith. He will forever be remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Funeral services for Joseph Popejoy were conducted on Saturday, April 1, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Victor Brummett officiating.
