Judy Phelps Obituary

Judy Louise Phelps, 78, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at her home in Corbin, Kentucky. Born August 25, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Jean Vanover.

Judy was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a very selfless, humble person, always putting others before herself. Judy, a kind lady who loved the Lord, embodied a true Christian spirit.

She leaves behind her loving and beloved family: her husband, Kenneth Phelps; son, Mark Phelps (Tamara); grandchildren: Ana Grace Phelps, Jonathan Farris, Ryan (Kelsey) Johnson, and Bradley Johnson; brother, Bobby Vanover (Linda); sister, Loretta McDaniel (Carestil); and nephews: Michael Vanover, Bruce McDaniel and Jimmy Dale Phelps. Other relatives and many friends also survive her to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Vernon Morris and David Nantz officiating. Burial will follow in McFarland Cemetery with Ryan Johnson, Mike Mays, Kenton Phelps, and Kevin Phelps serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701.
