June Taylor Obituary

June Taylor, age 93, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky.

She leaves behind three daughters, Sharon Perry and husband Avery of Corbin, KY, Sheila Cornish and husband Leon of London, KY, Sondra Jones of Corbin, KY; one son, Stephen Taylor and Anita of Corbin, KY; eight grandchildren, Tonya Sams, Tammy Sizemore, Melinda Bartley, Sheri Cottingim, Wesley Cottingim, Chris Taylor, Candy Taylor, and Marianne Campbell; eleven great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren, plus a host of other friends and family to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Thermon Taylor; her parents, Andrew Jackson Lawson and Bessie Goodin Lawson; her son, Larry Wayne Taylor, seven siblings, Ivory Gerow, Virginia Nolan, Viola Burdock, Sybil Faulkner, Helen Lawson, A. J. Lawson and Lawrence Lawson; two grandchildren, Kellee Edwards and Krista Pate.

June was a homemaker and member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Funeral services for June Taylor were held on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Roy Faulkner and Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial followed at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, KY. The family received friends on Sunday, May 31, 2020 beginning at 1 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
