Nancye C. Partin, age 70, of Knox County, was born on Oct. 19, 1945, in Louisville. She was the daughter of the late David Waits and Mildred Rice Waits. Nancye died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at Christian Health Care in Corbin.
She was a member of the Beacon Baptist Church. Nancye was a clerk for the East Knox Water District before retiring.
She united in marriage to James Corbin and to this union two beloved sons were born. Later she united in marriage to Murelle Partin. Along with her parents, Nancye was preceded in death by her husbands, James Corbin and Murelle Partin and a brother, Michael Waits.
Nancye is survived by her sons, David Corbin and wife, Janet, of Waukegan, Illinois, and Donnie Corbin and wife, Dr. Cynthia Corbin, of Barbourville; and her beloved grandchildren, Kyle Corbin, Rhylie Corbin, Nathan Corbin, Joel Corbin, Ava Grace Corbin, Karington Elle Corbin and Bella Rose Corbin.
Funeral services for Nancye C. Partin will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, Sept. 23, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ronnie Owens and the Rev. Dennis Chesnut officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery at Artemus, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home Thursday, after 6 p.m. and Friday after 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. Hopper Funeral is in charge of all arrangements.
