Pamela Shyrene (Hooper) Roark, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the age of 66.

She was born on March 16, 1958, in Corbin, KY, the daughter of the late Libby Hooper.

Pamela dedicated her life to caring for her family, excelling in her role as a homemaker. Her love knew no bounds, and her compassion touched all those around her. With a talent for writing and a passion for poetry, Pamela's words inspired and uplifted all who knew her. In the face of adversity, Pamela's character never wavered. She was not only a devoted mother and grandmother to her own family, but to anyone that might be in need. Her gentle presence and unwavering positivity left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

Pamela is survived by her daughter, Shyrene Lillian Hoskins and husband Cody; son, William "Billy" Daniel Roark and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Chaney Hoskins, Lykan Hoskins, and Josslyn Roark; life partner, Gregory Ison; and by a host of family and friends. Her family was her pride and joy, and she found fulfillment in nurturing those she held dear.

A Memorial Service in honor of Pamela Roark will be held at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home on September 12, 2024, at 1:30 pm with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place at the funeral home at 12:30 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Pamela's life, share memories, and find solace in each other's company.
