Williamsburg - Pauline Adkins, aged 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 6, 2025 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, KY. Born on October 16, 1934, in Goldbug, Kentucky to Arthur and Janice (Angel) Prewitt.

Pauline lived a life filled with love and dedication to her family and faith. She was a devoted mother, a cherished friend, and a respected member of the Corbin community. Throughout her life, Pauline exemplified a spirit of kindness and generosity that touched all who knew her. She married Everett Thomas Adkins Jr. on June 26, 1955 in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Pauline held several jobs during her lifetime and she managed Artley's Dress Shop for many years. Pauline's favorite job, the one she considered most important and the one that brought her the most joy and happiness was that of wife and mother.

Pauline loved the Lord, dedicating over 60 years of her life to the Central Baptist Church of Corbin, where she was known for her unwavering faith and commitment where she volunteered in Bible School and GA's.

Pauline taught her children to love the Lord as well. She was a wonderful grandmother to her thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and her one great-great grandchild. Pauline answered to the different names given to her by her grandchildren, such as Gran, Dean and Memaw. Pauline passed to her children and grandchildren her love of cooking and gardening. She was especially talented when it comes to cooking and raising flowers.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Phyllis Monhollen of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Kathy Smith and husband Danny of Corbin, Kentucky, and Sharon White and husband Jack of Adamsville, Tennessee. She is also survived by two brothers; Troy Prewitt and wife Donna of Corbin and Otto Prewitt of Hamilton, Ohio, along with several nieces nephews and host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Junice (Angel) Prewitt. Her husband of over 49 years Everett Thomas Adkins Jr., son Edwin Thomas Adkins, Brother; Harold Prewitt; Sister(s); Bartie Bullock, Rebra Brown, and Bonnie Prewitt.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 1 pm at Central Baptist Church in Corbin, Kentucky located 201 West 4th Street Corbin, Kentucky. The funeral service will follow Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 3 pm with Rev. Josh Pollitt officiating. Afterwards, Pauline will be laid to rest at 4 pm at Piney Grove Cemetery, 200 Prewitt Bend Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
