Shirley Jump Obituary

Shirley B. Taylor Jump, age 87, of Corbin, KY, passed on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Taylor and Martha Jones Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Conny Jump.

Shirley, a creative soul, enjoyed painting and quilting. Her garden, a playful canvas of her love for nature, was a testament to her belief that life was most fun when it was a work in progress. She penned a book on her family genealogy, merging her love for storytelling with her deep-rooted respect for heritage. Her dedication to preserving her lineage was a testament to her loving and generous nature. Shirley's thirst for knowledge never waned and found solace in the pages of countless books. Her home, a reflection of her artistic flair and meticulous nature, was her pride and joy. She cherished animals, especially her cats, but most of all loved time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Ron Jump (Anita) of Ft. Thomas, KY, and Sean Jump (Bethany) of Corbin, KY; grandson David Jump (Sarah), of Crescent Springs, KY; brother, Kenneth Taylor; sister-in-law, Wanda Jones; and brother-in-law, Wayne Jump.
