Steven Phipps Obituary
Corbin - Steven Louis Phipps, age 69, passed away on May 12, 2025, at Baptist Health Corbin. Born on November 10, 1955, he was the son of the late William Louis Phipps and Ruth Hampton Phipps.
Steve was a skilled carpenter and an avid outdoorsman who loved astronomy, fishing, and hunting.
In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his infant twin brothers, Donald and Ronald Phipps; his brother, William Livingston Phipps; and his brother-in-law, Jack Osborne.
Steve is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janey Pennington Phipps; son, Steven Christopher Phipps (Mia); son, William David Phipps; grandchildren: Alex (Sarah) Phipps, Drew Phipps, Libby Phipps, and Hayden Phipps; great-grandson, Lincoln Phipps, whose arrival is expected soon; and a sister, Sherryl Osborne. He is also survived by his beloved Boxer, Sadie.
A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
