Thomas Franklin Dizney, age 69, of Corbin passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021, at his home.
Thomas was born April 7,1952 in Pineville, Kentucky, to the late Roy G. Dizney and Elsie Sams Whitehead.
Thomas was of the Baptist faith and a member of Central Baptist Church. Thomas was a devoted mason and a member of Hugh Harris Masonic Lodge # 938 of Corbin for 50 years as well as a member of the Oleika Shrine Temple of Lexington, Kentucky. Thomas was a retired CSX Locomotive Engineer.
Thomas is survived by three daughters and nine grandchildren; Kari (Dallen) Smith their children, Mattie and Allie Smith of Corbin, Jennifer Hall her children, Lillie Hall, Bayleigh (Taylor) Waddle, great-grandson Silas Waddle, of Corbin, Amy (Vaughn) Hatcher and their children; Hagen and Lane Hawn, Cade and Reece Hatcher all of Williamsburg. Three siblings; Anna (Joe) Rains of Corbin, Debbie (Scott) Smith of Richmond, Ky and Kyle (Susan) Whitehead of Union Ky, and Mother of his Children, Linda Dizney.
In Addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one grandson; Ethan Buck-Hawn.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 22, 2021 from noon until 2 p.m. at the O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 2 p.m. at O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Bonnell officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Garden in Lily, Kentucky.
Pallbearers: Taylor Waddle, Hagen Hawn, Lane Hawn, Brian Rains, Brandon Smith, Ken Smith.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to, Compassionate Care Center of Richmond, Kentucky.
O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home will be following the guidelines the Governor's Office has set for COVID-19, for attendance (of 50% building capacity), Social distancing and proper face coverings to be worn at these services.
