William Michael (Mike) Jones, 68, passed away April 11, 2019, at his home in London, Kentucky.
He was born on January 30, 1951, to the late William H. (Bill) and Inez Eversole Jones.
Mike is survived by his wife, Kathy Oller. He leaves a sister, Phyllis Jones Cunagin, Lexington. Also surviving are his son, Bill Hayes Jones (Caitlyn Fugate), of Somerset, Kentucky; daughters, Brittany (Randy) Cradic and Mallory (Brandon) Turner, both of London; and a stepson, Ryan (Andrea) Oller of Richmond.
He leaves his grandchildren, Emma Jackson, Bryson, Dylan, Brynley and Baby Turner of London; Londyn Jones of Somerset; stepgrandchildren, Mason and Annelise Oller of Richmond, Brandon Cradic and Lauren Bingham of Barbourville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mike was predeceased by his grandparents, Taylor and Opal Eversole, W.C. and Carrie Jones, and Hettie Parman Jones.
Mike began a lawn mowing service in his teen years, followed by work at E.C. Porter's, Kern's Bakery, Frito-Lay and United Parcel Service from which he retired. He then served as assistant grounds supervisor for Crooked Creek Country Club. His career path went full circle bringing him back to last endeavor, Mow Jones Lawn Care.
Mike never knew a stranger. He loved golf, flying, fishing, the outdoors, and his beloved cat, Meow.
House-Rawlings Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. By Mike's request, there will be no services.
